Analog Devices (NASDAQ: ADI) reported fourth-quarter revenue and earnings that exceeded Wall Street expectations on Tuesday, with automotive demand helping offset soft industrial sales. Shares climbed more than 4% intra-day.
Revenue for the quarter was $3.08 billion, above the consensus estimate of $3.02 billion. Industrial revenue — which represents over 45% of total sales — totaled $1.43 billion, slightly below the expected $1.46 billion.
Adjusted earnings came in at $2.26 per share, narrowly beating the $2.23 consensus.
For fiscal Q1, Analog Devices guided revenue of $3.1 billion, plus or minus $100 million, well above the $2.97 billion outlook expected. Adjusted EPS is projected to be $2.29, plus or minus $0.10.
